Child after fallWhile children are prone to falls and breaking bones, the bone is more elastic than mature adult bone and is less likely to break. Children’s fractures are frequently treated in a cast and the same principals apply to their care and management.

When attending the fracture clinic, come prepared. Your child may need to have x-rays taken, the cast removed or a new cast applied. Therefore you may be in the department for some time. Bring along some snacks and favourite toys for you child to keep him/her distracted.
