With younger babies, wrapping them tightly in bed is best. A small sheet like a cot sheet works well. As they start to move, a sleeping bag may be of benefit as they will be less likely to become tangled as they turn during the night. Do not worry about your child’s unconventional sleeping positions- they will find the one that suits them best! Babies with club foot can sometimes prefer to sleep on their front. As modern guidelines recommend putting a baby on their back, then use wedges either side to stop them turning. If you are worried, the baby can always sleep with you but make sure that all pillows and covers are kept away from their mouths.
