Always use cotton socks that cover wherever the shoe touches the baby’s foot and leg. Socks with rubber grips underneath can help prevent slippage out of the boot and resist your child’s attempts to kick them off. Avoid socks with cuffs at the top so that they don’t grip the child’s leg. Instead they can be folded back over the boot. During warmer weather, cut the tops off the socks so that the feet do not over-heat.
